Introduction to the project:
Pete Carss is a Research Assistant in Immersive Vision at the Institute of Digital Art and Technology.
The Immersive Theatre is a transdisciplinary project born out of the Experiential learning in environmental and Natural Sciences - CETL. The aim of the project is to transform a defunct Planetarium into a state of the art immersive learning environment. A diverse range of disciplines hope to revolutionise their teaching practice and pedagogy, through the use of real-time and pre-rendered 3D simulation; 360ยบ video and stills. In addition, digital practitioners; audio and visual artists will use this space to explore future applications of immersive spaces.
